WW2 Battle France 1938 Dated Unit Marked Steel Helmet.
A very rare sleepy untouched example. The helmet shell retains its original rough paint finish with clear regimental colours, of light green, blue, dark green. The interior with original 1938 dated lining, tailored with correct round cushion and complete with chinstrap. The shell is also a matching 1938 date. A very good early war British combat helmet.
I have left this helmet as found I have made no attempt to clean.
I have tried to ID the unit mark, possibly Scottish Rifles or Royal Signals.
