1968 Pattern DPM Combat Smock Size 4
1968 Pattern 'Smock Combat' dating from the 1970s.
This pattern of smock was introduced in the late 1960s and was used up into the 1980s. It features a period 'CLIX' metal zipper to the front and four buttoning patch pockets to the front. There is a small pocket to the left sleeve for pens and pencils, along with a buttoning crotch flap.
The lower instructions label has become unstitched in places, but remains present. There is a small personalised Scapular label stitched into the front closure by a conscientious wearer.
There is overall wear from field use and a few small rips, snags and wear marks as pictured. There is both an internal waist and skirt drawstring to tighten to the body. The lower one looks to be a period replacement.
It is marked a size 4.
