    About this item

An original 'Jacket, Overall, Green' clearly dated 1964 and in a size No. 7.

This pattern of fatigue jacket is rare to find today compared to the denim battledress jacket it was intended to replace. Made from a green coloured cotton drill, the jacket features a button front, epaulettes, angled flapped pocket to the skirt and a drawstring waist. Inside the tunic the original label is still present and is bright and legible. It states the manufacturer's name as 'J. Mandleberg & Co Ltd' and the size as No. 7. The 1964 date is present as is the War Department broad arrow.

The tunic will suit someone of a 36 - 38" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -

    Chest - 21 1/2"
    Inside arm - 19 3/4"
    Outside arm - 26 3/4"
    Shoulders - 17 1/2"
    Length - 31"

The jacket is in well used condition as can be seen in the pictures. It has some staining and other signs of wear but overall it is still very wearable.

A rare piece of British military workwear from the post-war period!
