About this item
An original Dutch army windproof smock dating from the 1960s which is in well used condition.
This anorak is made from a green coloured cotton duck material and is typical of the period in many ways. It features a full button front which has a triple layered closure which is illustrated in picture 4 and creates a good degree of wind and water proofing. The smock features a hood which has a drawstring fitted around the mouth and two buttons at the bottom. Rifle patches are located at each shoulder and reinforcing patches are fitted to each elbow. Flapped pockets are located to the skirt and a drawstring is fitted to the interior at the waist.
The smock is a medium size which will suit around a 38" - 40" chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures -
Chest - 23 1/2"
Inside arm - 18"
Outside arm - 24"
Shoulders - 18 1/2"
Length - 30"
The smock is in used condition with various holes and damage. There is a hole to the hood, another to the left sleeve and there is a rip to the left pocket opening amongst other issues. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a pre-owned, distressed item which has flaws commensurate with age.
A nicely designed smock with some great details.
