About this item
An original 1984 dated RAF wool jersey which belonged to John Terry Tuckey who joined the RAF in the late 1940s and served well into the 1980s.
This pattern of jumper is similar to those used by the British Army for a number of years and are often referred to as the 'Wooly pulley'. It is made from a navy blue coloured wool and features shoulder and elbow patches. Epaulettes are located to each shoulder and are fitted with Squadron Leader rank.
Inside the jumper the original label is still present and the makers name of 'Remploy' alongside the 1984 date and the contract number CT4A/1270.
The jumper is a larger size and when laid flat measures -
Chest - 22" (24" when pulled out)
Inside arm - 20"
Outside arm - 24"
Length - 26"
Shoulders - 20 1/2"
The jumper is in well worn condition as can be seen in the pictures. Please take time to study them before purchasing.
A nice original item with its original label and insignia.
