About this item
A good quality example of an early 20thC Dia Chirra kukri, likely produced for an officer of the Nepalese army.
An impressive 12.5 inch wide bellied dia chirra blade with twin spine fullers. 16.5 inches overall. The blade is bright and retains a high proportion of the original finish, with signs of sharpening. The blade carries a crescent moon armourers marking.
The inlaid horn grip with steel bolster, brass pommel plate, and decorative bands. Free from chips/damage to the horn grip. No movement between blade and hilt, and all hilt furniture is secure.
Housed in a traditional leather covered wooden scabbard, with tooled decoration, and steel chape. Complete with two karda, and khissa pouch. The khissa itself is absent.
A good clean example of a sought after kukri.
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
