An interesting private purchase MK III type kukri with integral bolster.
This example has been rehilted with a large green horn grip, measuring just under six inches.
Likely done to accomodate a European hand. The blade and hilt are tight, although there is gap between the bolster and the horn, the new owner may wish to reseat the blade.
The blade length 12 inches with single spine fuller. Signs of sharpening and old corrosion, pitting towards the point. Stamped "Tempered Steel Made in India".
Included are the remains of the wood and leather scabbard, which may be of use as a pattern to make a new one, but not much good for anything but display.
