A good vintage Scottish Skean Dubh.
The grip appears to be of highly polished horn, but could even be an early type of plastic/bakelite. Good condition, no splits or cracks, small amount of play/movement in the aluminium washer.
The blade measuring just under 3.75 inches, with scalloped back edge, and etched with "Skean Dhu" within a banner, surmounted by the makers logo of crossed keys, and "J. Nowill&Sons Ltd, Sheffield, Gt Britain" Signs of old sharpening.
Housed in a brown leather scabbard. 7.5 inches in lengh when sheathed.
