An exceptionally good example of a late war 3rd pattern FS knife.
Retaining a high degree of original finish.
"3" Mould number to the grip. Unmarked guard.
Factory sharpened blade, measuring just over 7 inches. Original point.
Housed in the correct pattern scabbard, complete with tabs and elastic retainer intact.
Both blade and grip have elements of some form of protective coating in some areas, which was applied long ago, possibly for storage?
All in all a very desirable original example in near unissued condition.
