WW2 Private Purchase Kukri
A high quality, WW2 officers grade private purchase ivory and horn hilted kukri.
Likely produced in Darjeeling, which seems to be the manufactureing hub for these well made private purchase kukris.
Some old damage to the horn section of one grip scale, reflected in the price. This could be restored/filled if desired. It does not effect display, and the grip is solid, no movement.
12 inch blade in very good condition, still in a layer of original grease.
These examples were made without a bolster.
16.75 inches overall.
Slab grips held in place with copper rivets. The butt capped with a brass pommel plate.
Housed in a black leather scabbard complete with frog.
Due to the composition of the hilt, this kukri cannot be shipped outside of the UK.
