Wehrmacht Long Service Awards, for 4 and 12 years service mounted on a pin back medal bar.
The Wehrmacht Long Service awards were introduced in March 1936 and were earned as Medals for 4 and 12 Years and as Crosses for 18 and 25 Years. When earned, the 4 Year would be worn on its own but when the 12 Year was earned, both the 4 and 12 would be worn together, as here.
If a Cross was earned, it would be worn with the appropriate colour of medal, thus the silver 18 Year Cross would be worn with the silver 4 Year Medal and the gold 25 year Cross with the gold 12 Year medal.
Both medals are in this 4 and 12 Year group are in super condition and would be difficult to upgrade.
