A WW1 British Army Mess Tin
Constructed in two parts and made of tin plated steel with a seam down one side and with a wire carrying handle and loops front and back for the strap.
Just visible on the base is a maker’s stamp to Christopher Collins of Birmingham but the date is no longer discernible. The folding handle is in place in the lid.
Overall condition is very good with light dents only.
