An excellent unused full length, Afrika Korps Cufftitle with dark green cotton centre stripe with diagonally ribbed horizontal bright silver/aluminium flat-wire edge trim and narrow horizontal tan rayon borders to both the top and bottom edges. The dark green centre stripe features machine woven block Latin script, "Afrikakorps", in bright silver/aluminium flat-wire threads.
Completely free from damage or wear the cufftitle is accompanied by a letter of provenance relating to a British solder who returned to the UK with it after serving in North Africa, Italy and Western Europe.
It would be difficult to upgrade this exceptional example.
This Cufftitle was officially introduced on July 18th, 1941
