About this item
An original grey wool blanket made in Adelaide and clearly dated 1939.
This early dated blanket came with another 1942 dated Australian blanket which had clearly belonged to the same serviceman. It could be either Army or Air Force issued originally and would be suitable for either.
Made from a light grey wool with blue stripes, the blanket features its original paper label which bares the manufacturers name and the date. A tartan trim is stitched to the edges but I do not know if this is original or a later addition.
The blanket is in good condition and displays well.
This would make a good addition to any WW2 collection!
