About this item
An original Auxiliary Territorial Service cooks apron dating from the Second World War.
This design of wrap was used throughout WW2 by the ATS for a variety of tasks. They were made in green denim and tan cotton drill as well as in white for cooking. This example is the latter being made from a white coloured cotton drill. The wrap design means it features no buttons, fastening only with a waist belt made from the same material as the body of the garment.
Inside the overalls is a label which has sadly washed out leaving no legible details.
The overall condition of the item is good with some staining as can be seen in the pictures. It is still very wearable but please study the pictures before purchasing.
A nice original period workwear item which would suit a re-enactor or collector well.
