Zulu War period Victorian 'Foreign Service' Pith helmet. WD below arrow stamp. Size 6 3/4. Manufacturers stamp Royal coat of arms above 'J Lock & Co' still in business and reputed to be the worlds oldest hat makers. Leather sweat band and cork spacers. Named under sweatband and white inked soldiers number ! (55749-5). In fair condition for age (a little wear on front rim and an area of loose cork near the top 6 x 2 inches)
