Original 1950s WRAC Airtex Physical Training Shorts

An original pair of Women's Royal Army Corp Physical Training Shorts.

These shorts are similar to the pattern introduced during the Second World War but are made in a dark forest green colour. They are made from a cellular cotton and feature an elastic waist and elastic to each leg opening. 

Inside the shorts the original label is still present and states the manufacturers name as 'Thaco'. The size is marked as 2 and the War Department broad arrow us also present. 

Next to this label the original owner has added a name tag with her name and serial number which reads W/412074 Pte
Bartlett.

Due to the waist being elasticated they will fit a number of sizes. When laid flat they measure 10" across the waist and pull out to 23", so in theory should fit and size between a 20" and 40" waist. 

The shorts are in good condition with only limited signs of age and service wear.
