An original World War Two era Royal Air Force Officers four pocket khaki drill tunic in a small size.

The tunic follows the same pattern the RAF started using in before the Second World War. It features two pleated chest pockets, two bellows pockets to the skirt and a pointed cuff. The jacket is fitted with a set of brass Kings crown RAF buttons. There are loops on each shoulder to fit rank epaulettes onto and belt loops at the waist although no belt is included with this jacket.

The tunic has no stamps or labels as is common with khaki drill clothing but is consistent with wartime manufactured examples. None-the-less the construction is typical of wartime Khaki Drill as is the cut. The collar also features some nice work to the underside as is shown in one of the pictures.

The tunic is a small size which will suit a 34" chest. When laid flat the tunic measures -

Chest - 18 1/2"
Inside arm - 17 1/2"
Outside arm - 24 1/2"
Length - 27 1/2"
Shoulders - 17"

The tunic is in good condition with signs of age and wear. It is still very wearable but has some staining and other signs of wear. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a pre-worn, vintage military tunic with wear commensurate with this.

A nice original WW2 period RAF tunic which would suit a re-enactor or collector well.
