An original WW2 USAF folding aircrew machete. This example prouced by Cattaraugus​. This pattern was introudced in 1942 and became standard kit for both the USAF and the RAF.

Chunky riveted black bakelite grips are undamaged. The Machete's folding lock action operated by thumb lever and is working as it should. A small amount of wobble when fully extended, as is common with this model.

Measuring just over 11 inches folded. The 9 3/4 inch blade has some staining and light pitting, and it has been service sharpened. The blade is marked by the manufacturer "Cattaraugus USA".
