Constructed of silvered zinc, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central inscription of “AZAD HIND” topped by a Bengal tiger and above a lily, the reverse with an inscription of “INDIENS FREIHEITSKAMPF” (“INDIA’S FREEDOM STRUGGLE”), topped by crossed swords clasp.
