Deutscher Volkssturm Wehrmacht Armband

Light weight cotton construction official pattern armband with a multi-coloured, printed design featuring horizontal, red bordered, top and bottom edges and a black/white/black centre stripe.
The armband has white printed Latin script, "Deutscher Volkssturm Wehrmacht", (German People’s Militia Armed Forces), in two lines, to the front centre which is flanked by a white national eagle, with outstretched wings, clutching a wreathed, canted, swastika to either side.
Overall condition is very good with some fading to the black central band.
There is an ink stamp on the inside of the band which may be a later addition but in no way detracts from a nice and of course original piece.
