Pre WW11 Naval College Rowing Cap

A 1920 -21 -22 dated Black velvet rowing cap with gold tassel worn by a cadet on HMS ‘Worcester’ the Thames Nautical Training College for marine officers.
Gold metal braid divides the cap into sections with the letter ‘W’ embroidered in gold purl and are surmounted by a crown of gold purl, red and black silk and gold coil.
The interior of the cap is lined with black cotton and an off white tag remains in place for the owner’s name which is no longer discernible.
The Cap is somewhat dusty with the golden braid now toned, the tassel now needing to be properly secured to the crown.
