WW1 1915 10th (Liverpool Scottish) Liverpool Regiment Memorial Plaque & Grave Marker.

An emotive group of items attributed to Private John Smith Wallace who was Killed in Action in January 1915.
Comprising:
Bronze Memorial Plaque “JOHN SMITH WALLACE”, 10th Bn Liverpool Scottish Camp book of Psams, hymns etc. Printed for the Bn and with pencil details of Private Wallace. 55th Division enamel Grave marker. This circular plaque is made with red, green, white enamel decoration depicting the Rose of Lancaster. The reverse with the low number 31. These plaques were purchased by love ones from the 55th West Lancashire Divisional Graves Identification Fund. These were then placed on the temporary grave marker of the fallen. 2708 Private John Smith Wallace was a native of West Derby Liverpool having been born in 1896. He landed in France with the Battalion on the 1st November 1914 and was Killed in Action New Years Day the 1st January 1915.
