Original WW2 Period RAF Officers Greatcoat Shoulder Boards

An original pair of RAF Officers' greatcoat rank boards with the insignia for a Flying Officer.

This pattern of shoulder boards was worn in the pre-war period and throughout the Second World War. The New Pattern greatcoat was introduced in the immediate post-war period which had fixed epaulettes and dates these to being made prior to that pattern.

The boards come complete with their original buttons and the rank tape is original to the boards, not a later addition.

Good overall condition with one very small defect as pictured.
