Perhaps one of the more astute things I did when collecting German helmets, was to buy all the spare chinstraps I could find and particularly those with rare markings.

From my own collection comes this early Luftwaffe LBA stamped Chinstrap. Idea for any Luftwaffe Helmet but in particular for an early double decal piece, the Chinstrap is in very good lightly used condition with an aluminium buckle. All stitching is firm and intact the LBA stamp remaining clear.

Additional stampings are partly discernible at the tip of the long end with the last two digits of the date, 38, clear.
