An original Korean War era American service cap, referred to in it's entirety as Cap, Field, Pile, O.D., MQ-1.  It is not stated on the label but this cap came to be known as the M-1951.

The cap is in good overall condition, no nips to wool areas and the alpaca lining is nice and fresh.  Slight separation on each side of the peak where it attached to the cap, but this is due to how the cap has been worn with the peak raised.  Fitted with an N.S. Meyer made 1st Lieutenant's bar.

Label states the manufacturer to be Atlantic Highlands Mfg Co, with a Contract Date of 5 June 1951.
