Deutsches Rotes Kreuz, DRK (German Red Cross) service brooch. Service brooch issued to female members of the DRK military nursing service whilst on active service. A much desirable larger-sized version not often seen. Depicting Eagle on a large red cross on white background. It features a black painted circular outer border with Gothis script, "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz”, German Red Cross, “Schwesternschaft” Nurses badge. On reverse marked "Ges. Gesch" with a manufacturer “A. Stubbe.Berlin". Numbered 1922 for town of Karlsruhe. Plus pin on reverse also present.
