Original American World War Two Era Uniform Grouping, 20th Air Force, ID'd and Good Sizes

An original US WW2 era Enlisted Man's uniform grouping.  Comprises Ike Jacket and tan shirt. 

Tunic

Tunic is in good condition, no obvious mothing and no rips or tears.  The label dates to tunic to 18 April 1945, produced by Joseph H. Cohen and Sons Vanity Clothes Inc. Furnished with;

1. A US Forces in the Western Pacific patch on the left shoulder,

2. A 20th Air Force patch on the right shoulder, denoting earlier service with that unit,

3. A pair of felt on felt T/Sgt stripes,

4. A green back Ruptured Duck,

5. Three Overseas Bars on the cuff of the left sleeve,

6. U.S. and Corps of Engineers collar dogs, flat back clutches, denoting wartime,

7. A ribbon rack containing Good Conduct, American Campaign, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign with two Campaign Stars, World War II Victory Medal,

8. A 'Rifle' Marksman badge, bar is Sterling marked, pin back.

Found in the top pocket was an additional three bar Overseas rack, post-war ID card and confirmation of medal entitlement.

The ID card was issued by Corps of Engineers, with a Civil Defence logo, stating the recipient to be Wayne C. Cleaver.  It confirms his date of birth as 11 October 1914 and that the card was issued on 22 February 1963.

The Medal Entitlement Card is dated 29 December 1945 certifiying the T/Sgt Wayne C. Cleaver was entitled to the same medal rack on the uniform.  His Army Service Number is stated to be 37485451 and his unit being the 933d Engineering Aviation Regiment.  I do not have a copy of the unit history, but this apparently does have a roster and states the unit 'claim the distinction that the 933d regiment constructed the largest number of B-29 airfields in the Pacific'.

Measured by hand as follows;

Pit to pit - 21.5", so around a 40-42 inch chest

Shoulder seam to cuff - 24"

Shoulder to shoulder - 18"

Shirt

The chocolate shirt is in similar good condition, no noticeable mothing or rips or tears, and collar is sound, as these are often prone to wear and tear. A little grubby as Pacific theatre shirts often are, for obvious reasons. Size marked 15.5-33, but measured by hand as follows;

Pit to pit - 23", so a good 44 inch chest

Shoulder seam to cuff - 22.5"

Shoulder to shoulder - 17"
