A scarce ORIGINAL  'Old Contemptibles Association' bronzed lapel badge, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Toye & Co Ltd’ and stamped with official issue number ’4173D’. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, minor service wear.

The Old Contemptibles Association was founded by Capt JP Danny of the Royal Artillery on June 25th 1925, all members were known as 'chums' and were the survivors of the First British Expeditionary Force of August-November 1914.
