Here we have a British MK6a helmet, this was the British Militaries first non steel helmet.

Made from Balistic nylon not kevlar, the MK6a was designed to accommodate ear defense, radio ear pieces and gas masks.

The helmet was a great jump in personal protection from the MKIV helmet.
