Green painted crown with brown camouflaged patches  .The front with crude painted blue rectangle Regimental bar .Black treated linen liner ,the frame with makers name dated 1939 , first pattern oval rubber crown pad .  Sprung webbing chinstrap .Some service wear .All the paintwork looks totally period to the helmet .These were done unofficially early war and examples were seen on active duty in France pre Dunkirk
