Rare cap tally for the Alcantara as pictured with some small pin holes. This tally is still tied with a bow.

SS ALCANTARA  ocean liner entered service weeks before the start of WWI and was converted to an armed merchant cruiser in 1915. It was sunk in combat with the German armed merchant cruiser Grief in 1916.
