An original British Army Officers Jungle Green Bush Jacket dating from the 1950s which belonged to a Royal Army Service Corps Major who served as part of Headquarters Land Force Hong Kong.

This jacket is typical of those worn in the 1950s by British officer's serving in the Far East. It is made from cotton drill and features pleated breast pockets with pointed flaps, lower flapped bellows pockets, long sleeves with barrel cuffs and epaulettes. To each upper sleeve is a formation badge which was worn by Allied Land Forces Hong Kong.

The epaulettes feature holes from where the original owner had captains rank stars fitted before he was promoted to major as well as another set of holes for a regimental shoulder title. Both epaulettes feature majors rank which is clearly original to the jacket. Inside the jacket the original owner has marked his came as 'Capt D. B. Porter'.

The jacket will fitted someone 38" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -

Chest - 22 1/4"
Inside arm - 19"
Outside arm - 25"
Shoulders - 17"
Length - 31"

The tunic is in used condition as can be seen in the pictures. It is still very wearable and displays well but may have small issues commensurate with age. Please take time to study the pictures provided and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
