For sale is a WW1 British Victory Medal To R Wigg Chief Ships Cook Royal Navy.   The rim of this medal is engraved; “347929 R. WIGG. SH. CK 1. R.N” unfortunately the victory ribbon is a replacement.    Reginald Wigg was born on the 13th December 1888, in Kent. And before his enlistment his trade was a market gardener. Reginald Wigg enlisted into the Royal Navy on the 11th November 1907 aged just 18 years old. Reginald was 5 foot 6 inches on enlistment, he had light brown hair, grey eyes and a fresh complexion.    During Reginald’s service he served on a number of different ships, below can be found the list of ships and the dates he served on them can be seen on the first research/ photograph scan;    HMS Pembroke I HMS Pembroke II  HMS Russell HMS Conquest HMS Dragon HMS Ganges  HMS Benbow   After serving 12 years he was discharged on the 11th November 1919.   Unfortunately we do not know what he did between ww1 and ww2. However at the start of ww2, Reginald enlisted back into the Royal Navy on the 16th of September 1939, where he was marked unfit for duty. Ages 51 years old.    Accompanying this medal is 2 scans of his service records. Upon payment please let me know if you would prefer digital scans or printed copies.
