About this item

An original Defence Medal, with short length of original ribbon, citation paperwork and box. The box is addressed to Mrs G. E. Baulk of The Mill House, Wendover, Aylesbury, Bucks.

We have been able to determine using the 1939 England and Wales Register that the medal was awarded to Grace E Baulk (born 11 September 1896) and that she was engaged in domestic duties. Unlike some records it does not show any wartime service but this was likely for service in the ARP.
