About this item
This is a delightfully rare find of an other ranks cavalry tunic. As worn over seas by the Household Cavalry and Dragoons during the 1882 Egypt Campaign.
It has the original Victorian general service buttons and the remains of the paper label. It is worn due to age and having been worn by myself. The skirt pockets are fake, but it does have an inside pocket on the left hand side.
It does have a small moth hole below the stand collar on the right hand side, other wise moth free and in excellent condition.
It is missing the leather collar tag, but hook and eyes are intact.
I purchased this tunic in the 1960's as unissued government surpluss and has been in my collection ever since. ( as I mentioned above I have worn it a number of occasions).
W^D above a letter G in the right hand sleeve.
CHEST 38"
WAIST 32/34"
NAPE TO HEM 26"
