About this item
An original RAF 1941 Pattern Sidcot Suit Liner dating from the Second World War.
Officially designated 'Linings, Quilted, Kapok, 1941 Pattern', this pattern of liner was designed to fit the 1941 pattern sidcot suit. It is made from a brown coloured rayon which is filled with kapok for insulation. It features a brass Air Ministry marked zip to the front made by 'F. F. Ltd'. Different style Air Ministry marked zips are located to the cuffs and feature the words 'Made in England' to the reverse whilst those that run along the legs are marked 'W' to the front and feature the Air Ministry crown and AM marking to the reverse. All the zips retain their cotton puller tags.
Inside the suit the original label is still present and states the size of 3. and the stores reference number of 22C/855 is present as are details pertaining to size.
The suit is in reasonable condition with some damage period repairs as shown in the pictures. Overall it displays well but it is a vintage, worn item with small issues commensurate with age. Please study the pictures before purchasing.
A nice original piece of wartime RAF flying clothing!
