About this item
An original early war HBT Tunic/Shirt. This is the First Pattern, which is a shorter garment than the later HBT shirts, with the hem sitting around the waist. Note the double button enclosure at the bottom of the front closure. Tunic is in a grubby condition, has a couple of light paint marks, as many veterans would use their wartime uniforms in the post-war years for DIY etc. Does not spoil the garment however and are barely noticeable. No rips and all 13-star buttons are present. Perfect for that grubby GI look. Label is present, but has been washed out.
Not size marked but measured by hand as follows:
Pit to pit - 25", so around a 48" chest
Waist - 23"
Shoulder seam to cuff - 25"
Shoulder to shoulder - 19"
