About this item
An original pair of British Army Woollen Hosetops as worn with the Khaki Drill uniform throughout the Second World War.
Hosetops form part of the iconic uniform worn by the British Tommy in the Western Desert. Essentially they are a footless sock made of a khaki coloured wool which is machine knitted. They were worn inside the boot wand turned down below the knee, usually secured with an anklet or a puttee at the ankle.
The hosetops are in good condition and appear to be in unworn condition. There is one small hole to one of the pair as pictured but aside from that they are in excellent condition.
A good original pair of hosetops which are a must have for any Western Desert impression!
