Second Boer War Queen's Own Dorset Yeomanry Sweetheart Brooch

For sale is a 1900-01 2nd Boer War Queen's Own Dorset Yeomanry Sweetheart Gilt Brass & Enamel Brooch. This brooch is marked “South Africa 1900-1902 Dorset, Honi Soit Qui Y Pense”. This is in mostly good condition, however there is a slight bit of enamel damage on the blue belt in between the words “Qui Mal”.    About the queens own Dorset yeomanry;    The Queen's Own Dorset Yeomanry was a yeomanry regiment of the British Army founded in 1794 as the Dorsetshire Regiment of Volunteer Yeomanry Cavalry in response to the growing threat of invasion during the Napoleonic wars.
