About this item
An early 1908 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword by Sanderson Brothers & Neubold, Limited.
Not only is this example in exceptionally good condition, it is particularly sought after, as both sword and scabbard have retained their original WW1 camouflage paint.
Regulation 35 inch single fullered blade, which is maker marked SB&N Ltd dated 1915 to the ricasso, along with various other inspection markings to both ricasso's, and the pattern designation"P'08" to the spine.
The regulation steel scabbard with twin hanging rings also carries profuse markings, was manufactured at Enfield, and carries a matching date of 1915.
This is only the second example with original paintwork I have owned in 30 years of collecting. Probably my favourite purchase of 2020!
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
