    Edwardian piquet weight infantry officers sword.

    This example was retailed by "F.W. Flight. 90 High Street, Winchester. The proof slug indicates manufacture by Pillin of London.

    Regulation steel guard with crowned ERVII cypher. The shagreen grip is complete, and retaining the twistwire binding.

    Fully etched blade, retailers details and makers proof marking to either ricasso, crowned ERVII cypher, and the usual floral etching. The blade in good condition with clear etching. Interestingly this sword has been service sharpened.

    The sword housed in a black field service scabbard in good condition. 

    Blade length 32.5 inches.

    Generally a very good and clean untouched sword which only requires a light clean to improve its appearance.
