For sale is an exceptionally rare Miniature WW1 Period Wilkinson British Royal Navy Officer's Sword Letter Opener measuring 25cm in length x 3.5cm width. This beautiful piece is highly detailed right down from the highly detailed floral engraved Three Gilted sections on the sheath, to the exceptionally detailed imitation wire bound fish skin grip, folding inner guard etched within a panel with a crowned fouled anchor and the Royal Arms, to the exceptionally detailed handle & lion's head pommel. Unfortunately much of the gilt has worn away along with the painted detailing, and a small secretion of the hilt guard is missing (please see photos for more details). This is an exceptionally rare piece with very little ever being issued, more bought as luxury gifts for officers!
