    About this item

A very naive and charming piece of trench art, which ought to read "The Last Shooting of the Great War" except that the "artist" has misspelled "shooting" with "shoting".  The scene shows a field gun firing a shell, and in the blast is the date "11.11.1918" on the reverse is the word "Cologne" along with another I cannot quite work out. There is an Art Nouveau type flower on the spine.

A really lovely thing, commemorating the end of the First World War.
