Awarded to Police Constable John Cronin (late Inspector). Jubilee (Police) Medal 1887 ( PC J.CRONIN. C.DIVN.). He was born on the 2th March 1859 in Newtounshaudrum , Charleville, Cork. He joined the Police Force, Scotland Yard on the 7th March 1881. Serving with C Division, Metropolitan Police. Prior to serving with the Police Force John Cronin was employed as a labourer in Brentford as records indicated in the local Brentford Parish Council.Inspector John Cronin was pensioned off, retirement as per service record shows he was discharged on the 30th July 1902.
