    For sale is a WW1 Death Plaque To Charles Reginald Sims 291st Brigade Royal Field Artillery.

      Charles Reginald sims was born in 1898 in Greenwich, Kent. He resided in Woolwich, Kent. His Parents were William Henry Latimer Sims and Bertha Emily Sims, of 1, Derby Villas, Dartmouth Rd., Forest Hill, London. Born at East Greenwich, London.   During World War One Charles served with the "B" Battery 291st Brigade Royal Field Artillery under the service number 930734 at the rank of gunner.    Sadly on the 14th of May 1917 Charles was killed in action aged just 19 years of age. The war diary for this day states “Several more attacks made this day without success”. This can be seen in the final scan of the war diaries for this brigade. Charles was killed during the first battle of Bullecourt as part of the Arras offensive.    Charles was awarded a British war medal and a victory medal but unfortunately these are missing.    Accompanying this death plaque is 7 scans of his service records, also Included is a scan of the 291st Brigade royal field artillery war diary.
