About this item
An original pair of British military Khaki Drill shorts dating from the Second World War.
These shorts appear to be either private purchase or civilian examples as they are devoid of any markings. They are made from the standard khaki coloured cotton drill used for British military shorts during the 1940s and feature the double buckle waist fastening, first used on the 1941 pattern shorts. The shorts feature a button fly, slash pockets to each hip and inverted belt loops.
The shorts will fit someone of around a 36" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat measure -
Waist - 18"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 20 1/2"
Inside leg - 9"
Outside leg - 21 1/2"
Cuff - 12"
The shorts are in well used condition with plenty of signs of age and use. They are still very wearable but may have issues commensurate with age. Please study the pictures carefully before purchasing.
An original pair of 1940s khaki drill shorts, typical of those worn during the Second World War.
