    About this item

A rare pair of inter-war period Royal Marines Khaki Drill Trousers in good worn condition.

This pattern of KD trousers is specific to the Royal Marines and differs from those used by the British Army and RAF. Made from the usual khaki colour cotton drill, the trousers feature a fishtail back, a button fly and belt loops. All the buttons, save for the top fly button, are the metal dish type which were used on Royal Navy items throughout this period. The trousers have a flat front and straight slash pockets which are more details associated with pre-war clothing

The trousers are a larger size which will suit a 36" waist.  When laid flat they measure -

    Waist - 18"
    Rise - 14"
    Rear rise - 16 1/2"
    Inside leg - 29 1/2"
    Outside leg - 42"
    Cuff - 10"

The trousers are in good condition with only limited signs of wear and use. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that these are a pair of pre-worn, vintage trousers of over 80 years old and may have small issues consummate with this.

A rare pair of early khaki drill trousers with some nice details!
