    About this item

An original pair of 1940s British Army Khaki Drill Shorts in a 28" waist.

These shorts are typical of those worn by officers during the Second World War as well as civilians during the 1940s. They are made from a khaki coloured cotton drill and feature a button fly, belt loops, side adjusters and a single rear pocket. As well as this they feature slightly angled slash pockets to each hip and a twin pleated front. Like so many other pieces of KD, these shorts are almost certainly theatre made.

The shorts will fit someone of around a 28" depending on desired fit and when laid flat they measure -

    Waist - 14 1/2"
    Rise - 14 1/2"
    Rear rise - 18 1/2"
    inside leg - 8"
    Outside leg - 21"
    cuff - 16 1/2"

The shorts are in good condition with some signs of wear and previous use. Please study the pictures to get the best idea of the condition and bear in mind that these are a pair of pre-owned vintage shorts and may have small issues commensurate with this.

A nice pair of wartime period shorts with nice period details and in wearable condition. These would make a great addition to any collection or could suit a re-enactor.
