    About this item

An original pair of British Khaki Drill shorts dating from the Second World War.

This pattern of shorts was introduced in the early part of the Second World War and worn throughout the conflit. Made from the standard khaki coloured cotton drill, the shorts feature a first field dressing pocket to the left hip and the double belt and buckle fasteners to the waist. Slash pockets are located to each hip and the fly fastens with buttons. The shorts have had the leg shortened at some stage.

The shorts are a smaller size which will suit someone of around a 28" waist and when laid flat the shorts measure -

    Waist - 14 1/2"
    Rise - 12 1/2"
    Rear rise - 14
    Inside leg - 6"
    Outside leg - 16"
    Cuff - 10"

The shorts are in good condition with some signs of wear and use. Overall they look to be very wearable but please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that these are a pair of vintage, pre-owned shorts which may have small issues commensurate with age.

A nice pair of WW2 shorts!
